In November 2020 we established a workstream to investigate the application of the 32 Electricity Price Review (EPR) recommendations to the gas market.
We consulted on these recommendations and published our final recommendations on 8 March 2021.
The initial assessment of standard gas distribution service agreements against the Principles of the Scheme was conducted in February 2013, prior to the publication of any standard distribution service agreements.
The second assessment was undertaken in March 2014, and found 'Substantial' alignment with the Scheme's Principles.
2010 Consultation on proposed information exchange file formats
In 2010, Gas Industry Co invited submissions on four file formats proposed by the Information Exchange File Formats Working Group.
The Gas (Processing Facilities Information Disclosure) Rules 2008, required gas processing facility owners to make disclosures to Gas Industry Co and expired in June 2014.

The objectives of the TArMAC are to develop a set of minimum standards that will allow for the consistent collection and treatment of advanced metering data; and to identify any registry changes or rules amendments needed to accommodate the uptake of advanced metering.
Gas Industry Co has a role under the Gas Transmission Access Code (GTAC) to consider whether a proposed change better achieves the objectives of the Gas Act and GPS.
Gas Industry Co is pleased to release its Analysis of Submissions on its March 2019 consultation paper: Options for Information Disclosure in the Wholesale Gas Sector (Options Paper). Twenty submissions were received on the Options Paper from a wide range of parties spanning the New Zealand energy sector.
