Access to energy is vital for all New Zealand homes. It is also essential that you can access a free and independent complaints service.

Utilities Disputes

Gas consumers have a free and independent complaints resolution process through the Utilities Disputes.

The dispute resolution scheme operated by the Utilities Disputes gives consumers confidence there are options to address disputes, beyond raising them directly with the retailer or distributor.

Utilities Disputes was approved as the consumer complaints resolution scheme for the electricity and gas complaints industries on 1 April 2010. It was previously the Electricity and Gas Complaints Commission.
