Background
On 5 May 2015, Gas Industry Co (GIC) notified industry stakeholders of its receipt of the Maui Pipeline Operating Code (MPOC) Amendment Process Change Request (APCR) from Mighty River Power (MRP).

Change Request
On 10 October 2014 Gas Industry Co received a request from Maui Development Limited (MDL) to consider and make a recommendation in respect of proposed changes to the Maui Pipeline Operating Code (MPOC) to introduce daily cash-out of any user imbalances (over an allowed tolerance).

Having considered submissions made in respect of this change request Gas Industry Co has prepared this Draft Recommendation. We found that most of the proposed changes were straightforward, generally in line with MDL's view that they are minor and uncontroversial. -

At the time of application, MDL requested that the normal MPOC change request process be expedited owing to the minor and technical nature of the change request. We have agreed to expedite the consultation process provided no material issues are raised in submissions.
