Gas Industry Co considered submissions on the Draft Recommendation and prepared a Draft Final Recommendation. Because the Draft Recommendation supported the Change Request, whereas the Draft Final Recommendation did not support it, we invited submissions on this Draft Final Recommendation.
On 17 December 2009 Gas Industry Co received a request form Maui Development Limited (MDL) to consider and make a recommendation in respect of proposed changes to the Maui Pipeline Operating Code (MPOC). We published the related documents and called for submissions.

After taking in account submissions received on its draft recommendation, Gas Industry Co has prepared a final recommendation on the MPOC 'typos' Change Request received from MDL on 21 May 2008.
On 23 April 2014, following a review of the Retail Gas Contracts Oversight Scheme, we wrote to the Minister advising on the continuation of the Scheme, with the following amendments:
retail gas contracts would no longer be reviewed on an annual basis, instead they would be reviewed on a 3-yearly basis…
At the 22 March 2010 meeting, the Board of Gas Industry Co agreed to submit a recommendation to the Associate Minister regarding retail contracts. The Recommendation sought endorsement for an industry-led arrangement of benchmark terms. The Recommendation was sent to the Minister on 29 March 2010.
In August 2008, a consultation paper was published inviting submissions on a range of current issues for domestic and small business gas consumers. Submissions were analysed and a response formulated that reached conclusions and set out the proposed next steps in key areas.
The Insolvent Retailers Working Group (IRWG) was established to assist Gas Industry Co in designing the drafting instructions for regulations that could be made urgently following the insolvency of a gas retailer.
The Gas Governance (Insolvent Retailers) Regulations 2010 (GGIR) were passed under urgency in November 2010.
