This consultation considers options for dealing with the impact from a TOU submission error that occurred at the Greater Mount Maunganui gas gate (GMM08801) between March 2014 and June 2018.
In November 2020 we established a workstream to investigate the application of the 32 Electricity Price Review (EPR) recommendations to the gas market.
We consulted on these recommendations and published our final recommendations on 8 March 2021.
Following consideration of submissions on the CRN, the next step of the new VTC amendment process is the issuing of a Draft Change Request. As with the CRN, GIC or any other stakeholders may make a submission on a VTC Draft Change Request.

Gas Metering Review: Review of advanced metering technology. We received eight submissions which are available below, along with our analysis and summary of submissions.
On 5 August 2015, Vector issued a Change Request Notification proposing to extend the term of the code by changing the “End Date” from 30 September 2015 to 20 September 2017.
As of June 2016, both the Maui and Vector pipelines came under the ownership of First Gas Limited (First Gas). First Gas intends to replace the two existing access codes with a single transmission access code (GTAC), and is updating associated business practices, systems, and documentation.
We monitor performance measures and reports on them on a regular basis.
Our principal objective in recommending gas governance arrangements, is to ensure that gas is delivered to existing and new customers in a safe, efficient, fair, reliable and environmentally sustainable manner.
