About the Electricity Price Review
In April 2018, the Government appointed an advisory panel to investigate whether the current electricity market delivers “efficient, fair and equitable prices [to customers]”. That panel issued its final report comprising 32 recommendations in May 2019.

The Gas Distribution Contracts Oversight Scheme (the Scheme) is a non-regulatory gas industry governance arrangement, endorsed by the Minister of Energy and Resources in September 2012. File formats that have been approved by the Information Exchange File Formats Working Group are set out below. The file formats echo the equivalent protocols in the electricity industry and incorporate changes resulting from industry consultation in 2010/2011.

The potential consequences of a gas quality incident can be major. To check that the industry’s gas quality arrangements are fit for purpose and aligned with the Gas Act objectives, we review the arrangements from time to time as changes occur and/or new information comes to hand.
We established a committee to develop a set of minimum standards that will allow for the consistent collection and treatment of advanced metering data. The committee also identifies any registry changes or rules amendments needed to accommodate the uptake of advanced metering.
