This statement of proposal is for compliance and enforcement arrangements to support the proposed switching arrangements for retail gas customers in New Zealand. These switching arrangements are set out in a Statement of Proposal by the Gas Industry Co referred to as Part 1.
In anticipation of the Gas Transmission Access Code (GTAC) being introduced, Gas Industry Co has issued a note describing how we would perform a Code Change role. That note is available below under Related Documents. Stakeholder feedback was invited on the note by Friday 19 July 2019.

On 12 February 2018, First Gas held an industry seminar on the Gas Transmission Access Code (GTAC) Transaction Management System (TMS).
At the seminar, First Gas indicated a number of areas where stakeholder input is required during the process.
A revised draft of the Gas Transmission Access Code (GTAC) was released on 11 September 2017.
First Gas has agreed to allow parties a further opportunity to comment on five areas of the Second Revised Draft GTAC that are being amended in response to comments raised at the November workshops (and subsequently in parties’ submissions and mark-ups).
