This application form relates specifically to Critical Care designations.

Designations can provide a measure of priority to gas consumers who satisfy certain criteria.

Those applying for this designation must provide 1 or more of the following services:

  1. Hospital care (within the meaning of the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001)
  2. Residential care or support of people with disabilities or people who are frail (whether because of their age or for some other reason)
  3. Primary health care
  4. Dispensing medicines (within the meaning of the Medicines Act 1981)
  5. Operating a prison (within the meaning of the Corrections Act 2004)
  6. Essential support services for any of the above eg. laundry services, cleaning or catering

As stated in Regulation 46(H)(1) of the CCM Regulations, Gas Industry Co may appoint a technical expert to assist in assessing an application for a Critical Care designation and in Regulation 46(H)(7) …The applicant must pay Gas Industry Co the costs of the technical expert in preparing the report.
