Submissions were invited on exemptions which would allow five business days for retailers to respond to GNW and GAC notices. This would be a continuation of the status quo under exemptions granted in 2008 which expired at the end of February.
No submissions were received. As the applications were in respect of existing exemptions and as all retailers had applied, it was expected that participants would be in favour of granting the exemptions. Therefore, as a means of reducing the compliance burden on participants, the consultation notice advised that non-responses would be considered to be supportive of the applications.
