Although this letter relates to the broader topic of Gas Transmission Balancing, we included a link to it here since it refers to the October 2011 MPOC Change Request and related matters. The letter is in response to a request made by (then) associate Minister of Energy and Resources, Hon Pansy Wong, in September, 2010, that Gas Industry Co provide a update on Transmission Pipeline Balancing matters. In the letter we advised the (then) Minister of Energy and Resources, Hon Phil Heatley, that a number of industry initiatives are underway and, given the high level of activity, suggest that these should run their course before determining the next step.
