Gas Industry Co is the Industry body that works alongside industry and government to coregulate New Zealand’s gas. We oversee gas governance, facilitate gas markets, and provide trusted advice through the energy transition.
Our work is designed to fulfil our statutory role through efficient governance arrangements, progress new or ongoing projects that are important to the industry and other stakeholders, and facilitate forward-looking discussion on future strategic issues.
We collect information about the gas industry and display it our website as a helpful resource for both industry and consumers.
As the industry body and co-regulator, Gas Industry Co does not provide natural gas or associated services. However we like to help ensure that consumers are informed about the use of natural gas and who they can deal with for their natural gas needs.
A GTAC workshop was held on Tuesday 4 September, Wednesday 5 September and Thursday 6 September at Gas Industry Co’s Offices in Wellington. The agenda and minutes for the workshop can be found below.
